Tom Keegan: Carter Stanley infused energy into Jayhawks and then he punted

Clearly I was wrong, the fans have spoken. First thing the new chancellor needs to do is fire Zenger. He was a total disaster, a terrible, terrible AD. The new chancellor needs to hire an AD who is terrific. Then we can get a new head coach who knows how to win. We’ll have so much winning we’ll get bored with winning. He’ll be tremendous. He’ll bring in great athletes from all over the country except Texas because frankly folks Texas is not sending us their best. And of course we’re going to build a new stadium and the other 9 conference opponents are going to pay for it. They don’t know it yet but they are going to pay for it. Let’s make KU great again!

Ke'aun Kinner has big day in fall-from-ahead loss to Iowa State

Carter does lack arm strength as Tom indicated above but that deep sideline pass early in the 4th quarter to Sims was near perfection. Laid it right in there where the two defenders could not get to it. Unfortunately went through Steven's hands.

I didn’t like the call but it’s not like it sucked all the air out of the stadium. There was still 40 minutes of football left. Firing Beaty is not the solution, it will only make things worse. When you wake up tomorrow you'll probably come to the same conclusion.

Seriously. 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter and you write them off because they don't go for it on 4th down on the 37 yard line.

Overall I’d give Carter a pretty good grade. His wheels are not as good as Montell’s and his arm is not as strong as Ryan’s but he is calm in the pocket and has a good awareness of where people are. And unlike his predecessors he doesn’t get locked onto one receiver.

If the worst case scenario is he is our starter for the next three years, I believe we could win some games, assuming he gets a decent supporting cast. I don’t think he can lead us to a conference title but a bowl game before he graduates is entirely possible. Hopefully Beaty can continue upgrading talent in spite of his losing ways.

Jayhawks fail to get enough stops in 31-24 loss to Iowa State

How many 3 & outs did the offense have? They did their job. The clock discrepancy was due to the inability of the defense to stop them. Unlike most games they were not put back out on the field by their offense.

It’s entirely possible you are too emotionally fragile to be a fan of this sport.

Offense finally shows up and defense mails it in.

Hope we can get our wind back in time for Tuesday or we can be 0-2 in a hurry.

It's showtime in paradise

Injuries are always a big concern. We've been snake bitten before by injuries that have really hurt us in the tournament. Archie Marshall, Jerrod Haase, Wayne Simien. The injury to Brandon Rush in a weird way actually helped us though.
