Dunks to be on display at Late Night

Does anyone know if Late Night is being televised on Friday night? If it is, what channel can it be viewed on in the Wichita area? Thanks.

Opinion: Miller’s return proves pull of KU

Whatever happened to KU running back recruit, Dreamius Smith of out Wichita Heights. I last remember he went to Butler Juco because of grades. Did he move on or will he ever come to KU?

Notebook: KU seniors prepare for final home game; recruit Andrew Wiggins to visit Sunday

Scott Drew will probably sweep in at the last second and snatch Wiggins and Randle so they can play for the most inept coach ever along with their clueless fans. Totally blew the game with KSU last night.

Statehouse Live: Bill would require KU to play Wichita State University in basketball

Most everything the tea party delegates come up with here in Brownbackistan is absurd, but to legislate basketball schedules takes the cake. Let the A.D.'s work on the schedule and let the legislature figure how to fund the shortfall our dictator is heading us towards. Just because Iowa and Kentucky mandate it doesn't mean it's a good idea.

A Devil, you say: Ottawa standout Semi Ojeleye says Duke best fit

Jaycard,

To this day, I still lean towards Nino as the most dominant high school player I've observed playing in Kansas. He was not the most skilled, for sure, but did he ever dominate the ball game just with his jumping ability and strength.

Semi Ojeleye reminds me of Nino in the domination area although he roams all over the court unlike Nino and is much more skilled in ball handling and outside shooting. I am a little disappointed that Coach Self didn't go after him more just because I like to see Kansas talent stay in state. We don't have that many highly ranked players to choose from so I feel like we should get them whenever possible. Like others have pointed out, we are well stocked at that position and Bill knows best.

I know the Ojeleye family and they are the nicest, classiest family you will ever meet. Their kids are smart, humble, respectful, and studious just like their parents. Semi would have been a perfect fit for KU just on his character alone, but I do think for him Duke is a great fit. It will be interesting to see how he develops in a good system and how soon he may have to make a decision in his career. If he chose to get his education over the lure of money, it would not surprise me. So KU fans, don't be too hard on anyone on this outcome, instead let's just lick our chops for the great class coming in next year!

Table set for Dayne Crist to go out in style

Can't run, can't seemingly hit an open receiver, and good luck making an NFL roster. Worst 5 star I've seen. Can only hope the ex-BYU QB is better than Crist.

For KU’s Andrew White, ‘III’ part of ‘legacy’

What a classy, well-grounded family! They definitely are in for the ride of their lives by picking tradition-rich KU basketball. The Jayhawk Nation will be the largest family the White's will ever experience. Andrew III made a great decision to pick KU and will be a great player and representative for the university. We are so fortunate to recruit not only good players but unselfish team players who make us all proud.

Federal Judge Wesley Brown, who presided over KU ticket scandal case, dies at age 104

I had the pleasure of meeting Judge Brown on several occasions through a common friend and I must say he was delightful, witty, and sharp as a tack. I realize he was an exception to the rule, but working until the age of 104 showed what a class act this gentleman was.

Official says radio station committed to KU men's basketball games

Another gripe I have with KLZR is they do not carry the locker room show after the game. When I listen to KU games in central Kansas, the coverage goes on for a long time after the game. Yet the home station cuts away after a few post game comments and totally ignores the locker room show. Go figure.

Lon Kruger, rebuilding Sooners host Jayhawks

I tend to agree that Kruger would have benefitted from staying at KSU, but the talk on the street back then was he was doing some coaching on the side.
