KU guard Ben McLemore sets press conference for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday

McLemore is a class act. Enjoyed his time here and will look forward to watching his NBA career. He shouldn't feel guilty for his family"s financial situation.

KU basketball notebook: KU-Syracuse recalled; Scot Pollard kills it

Ol Roy did us a favor by leaving:
1) we got a coach that emphasized D over offense
2) we got a coach that would recruit the entire US of A
3) we got a coach that carried about all sports at KU not just his
4) we got a coach that stressed wins, education and good citizens
5) we got a coach that doesn't think he is bigger than the university
6) we got a coach that inspired to sit in the KU chair not use it as a step elsewhere

Another shocker! 12th-seeded KU women upset South Carolina, 75-69, to return to Sweet 16

OMG Great job selection committee!

Great job Bonnie!

Great game Hawks!

For those of you that didn't see the game, Jayhawks were mugged, shoved, raked and with all the bruises was still the best team on the floor

Kansas-Carolina more than coaches

Dean Smith played at KU for Phog Allen including NC game. After graduation he was an assistant at KU.

He was offered/considered at least three times for head coach at KU and politely declined. Asked for suggestions for a replacement he first offered Larry Brown. I always thought he conjured this idea up to rid him of Brown not necessarily for the betterment of KU.

Later he offered up Williams exclusively wanting to prime him to be his replacement UNC. Once again, his suggestions were slanted to his benefit more than KU.

Smith did a great job at UNC, never returned to KU for any events that I am aware of and didn't except the HC job because he would always be in the shadows of Phog. Coach Allen was great on the court but should probably be remembered more for his ideas of basketball championship tournaments and the NCAA.
