'It’s like a dream come true': Lawrence High standout Devin Neal signs to play football and baseball at KU

Welcome Devin! Thank you for chosing to stay home and become a proud Jayhawk. You will be a key part of a researgent KANSAS football program. I'll be renewing my football season tickets and look forward to seeing you out there on Saturdays for the next four years. Great that you'll be playing baseball too!

I was thinking the same thing. Anyone else notice the guns on some of those guys?

Liam Jones drills game-winning field goal to lift Kansas past Texas Tech for 37-34 win

The first paragraph in a Texas Tech fan blog article... "The Texas Tech football team lost to Kansas Saturday night in Lawrence. Take a moment and let that stomach-churning reality wash over you."

Yeh baby! The reality is that our Jayhawks played an awesome game, never gave up, and put a beating on those Red Raiders. Our team can be awash in well-deserved pride!

Rock Chalk!

KU Athletics increases football funding, looks to develop plan for stadium renovations, other projects

I'd love to see the money spent on digging out and lowering the level of the playing field to bring the front row seats closer to the sidelines. Once the track was gone, I thought that was the plan. Also, how about putting in stadium seats throughout. Those bench seats get REALLY hard and most uncomfortable about half way into the game. Closing in the end of the horseshoe to make a bowl would put the stadium on par with other big time programs which it is soon to become (of course).

Late run in first half lifts Kansas past West Virginia in Big 12 semifinals

With respect to convoluted team loyalties... I was born in Des Moines, IA and as a young boy I was a huge fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes in the days of the Kenny Ploen and Randy Dunkan Rose Bowl victories. (Didn't think much of the "local school" in Ames.) When I was 10 years old we moved to Kansas. It didn't take me long to notice guys like Wilt Chamberlain and John Hadl and I eventually became a hard core Jayhawk fan and eventual KU student. I have KU season tickets for Football and get back to Lawrence a couple times a year for football and basketball games. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
