Mark Mangino: 'I won't be returning to Kansas'

I loved the guy while he was here and had season tickets and traveled to three bowl games as well. But that chapter is closed. As some have pointed out he didn't finish strong here, and did even worse as an offensive coordinator at Iowa State after he left here. He was fired from ISU after one season. It's time to appreciate what he did but move on.

Tom Keegan: Coaching search thoughts and a farewell to Lawrence

Good luck to you. Thanks for the coverage over the years, especially of Zenger and Beaty the last couple of seasons. You have been a part of the positive process.

Elijah Johnson sees big season ahead for Devonté Graham and Malik Newman

EJ won the game for us at Ames almost single handedly back in 2013. That year we end up tying for the Conference title with K-state. Without him not only we don't have the streak, but we finish second to Bruce Webber.

Ranking Reesing's successors from No. 1 to No. 9

That's a depressing list.

Tom Keegan: Football heading south under Kansas athletic director Sheahon Zenger

People say we've been patient, but we really haven't. 3 years for Gill, 2 years for Weis, that's not being patient. Beaty needs 5 years. Yes, Mangino got us to a bowl game in his second year, but he had a much easier task. He had 4 non-conference games compared to 3, and then he only had to win a couple more games out of the Big 12 North which included Nebraska during their down years, Colorado when they stunk, Iowa State while they were worse than us, Missouri who always had trouble with KU, and KSU during Snyder's final years in his first stint when they were down. Today's schedule is a killer compared to those days. It takes a good 3 years to develop an offensive line, and we just don't have one right now.

KU’s voice: Bob Davis ‘calls ’em as he sees ’em’

I haven't listened to Bob since I moved away from the area in 2009, but absolutely loved his calls growing up. Here's to hoping that he calls a KU championship win in yet another Texas town before he hangs them up.

Second wind: KU gets another shot at OSU

It sure felt like OSU was trying to run up the score in Stillwater. I think they were dunking until the final buzzer. It'd be nice to return the favor.

Column: Smart’s remarks likely to backfire

This is the same team that lost to KSU, who we beat down by 26? I think KU wins by double digits.
