Kansas earned the commitment of Utah State transfer safety Devin Dye, the two-year junior college product announced on social media Tuesday. Dye officially re-entered the transfer portal last Monday.

Dye, a San Diego native and Cathedral Catholic High School graduate, is the brother of current KU safety Jalen Dye and the son of former Kansas City Royals outfielder Jermaine Dye.
After spending two seasons at Palomar College, Dye transferred to Utah State this past offseason where he found playing time right away under head coach Blake Anderson.
Dye tallied 81 tackles (37 solo), seven defended passes, two interceptions and a forced fumble during his lone season with the Aggies. The year before, Dye racked up 59 tackles and two interceptions worth 74 yards during his final season at Palomar.
Upon his arrival at KU, Dye will have two years of eligibility available.
Wudke also commits
Youngstown State transfer Dylan Wudke, a defensive end with one year to play, announced Tuesday evening on social media that he too will attend KU next season.
He had 34 tackles, including eight for loss and four sacks, during the 2023 season and was a second-team all-conference selection in 2022 and 2023.
Wudke had offers from Boise State, Ohio, Temple and Toledo.
With his addition, the Jayhawks will have brought in three transfers to fill the scholarship slots vacated by three players who have left this month: Will Huggins, Gage Keys and Tanaka Scott. They have not strictly followed their policy thus far, as outlined by Lance Leipold earlier this month, of replacing players at the same positions where they leave.
