I thought in your discussion it sounded like you worried that they wouldn't have anything special to play for that would get them up for the Missouri game. Don't forget that, if all goes well, KU will be going for win 2000 at Missouri. That, plus going undefeated and the fact that their opponent is the hated Missouri, should keep this game from seeming like an afterthought.

Players leaving----Sherron, obviously gone-----X is gone>>he's got his game together, now------Cole should be gone>>you never know, he could change his mind about lovin' school if the NBA wants to sign him for a million-dollar contract------Marcus could go but most likely will stay because of Markief-----plus, he said he was staying anyway----no guarantee that will happen.

Discussion of maybe having K-State play for the National Championship game VS the Jayhawks---that is way out there, but that would be SWEEEEET!!!!!! With seven teams most likely making it from the Big 12, I could see three of the four teams in the Final 4 being Big 12 teams. Interesting dialogue, guys! Thanks!

I wouldn't be surprised to see X, and maybe Cole stay one more year.

Nice podcast. I always enjoy them. I'd like to hear about some basketball recruiting. It seems like we're having a tough year. Is that simply a function of our depth? Losing possibly three starters it seems like we'd have a couple McDonald's All-Americans lined up to reload... If memory serves, we've got one guy who will probably be a role player.

I too wouldn't be surprised if X returned for another year. If you ranked the current Jayhawks from top to bottom, where would he rank? Currently, he is third or fourth depending on your opinion of Marcus. Next year, he will be one of the two best players, if not the best player, on the team.

X also has to consider how Cole's draft position changed from last year to this. He is in a similar position to Cole's from last year.
