Sean Lester addresses the media at a press conference Tuesday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse. Lester was named interim athletics director after Lew Perkins resigned Tuesday morning.

In a statement on the Kansas University website, Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little and Athletic Director Lew Perkins announced that Perkins will retire, effective immediately.
