All that was missing were the rocks. Notebook: Kansas says goodbye to Erwin Center; up to No. 8 in AP poll

Austin, Texas — Monday night’s 79-76 loss marked the final game Kansas will ever play at Texas’ Frank C. Erwin Center, with UT and Austin closer than ever to ushering in the era of the Moody Center. Opening for concerts as soon as April of this year, the Moody Center is a brand new, 15,000-seat area specifically designed for concerts that will also host UT men’s and women’s basketball games.

Kansas women's basketball, happy with 3-game winning streak, has sights set higher

Winning three consecutive Big 12 games may not seem like much of a cause for celebration, but Kansas women's basketball coach Brandon Schneider wants his players to do that anyway. The Jayhawks, who enter Wednesday's game at West Virginia on a three-game winning streak, hadn't accomplished that feat during Schneider's seven seasons until they beat TCU at Allen Fieldhouse on Sunday.
