The Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League announced Monday the signing of all five of the team’s 2020 draft picks, including former Kansas standout Katie McClure.

The Spirit selected McClure, a Wichita native, 23rd overall, with the fifth pick in the third round of the NWSL draft in January.

A four-year contributor with the Jayhawks, McClure was a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 First Team as a senior in 2019. She completed her KU career with 39 goals, the second-most in program history.

McClure will play forward for the Spirit, just as she did at KU.
