Senior midfielder Ceri Holland, a three-year starter and the Kansas soccer program’s leading returning scorer, added a spot on this year’s preseason All-Big 12 team to her resume on Thursday.

The 11-player All-Big 12 squad is determined by votes from coaches.

Holland scored eight goals and distributed six assists during her junior year in 2019, when KU won the Big 12 Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament’s round of 16.

Originally from West Yorkshire, England, Holland has scored 20 career goals in her 66 starts during the past three years.

The KU soccer team began preseason practices this week, but the Jayhawks’ regular-season opener has yet to be finalized because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
