KU soccer records 1-1 draw with West Virginia

By Staff Report     Oct 24, 2019

Two halves and a pair of overtimes weren’t enough to decide a winner.

Kansas ultimately finished in a 1-1 draw with West Virginia on Thursday night at Rock Chalk Park. The Jayhawks (11-4-2) extended their unbeaten streak to four consecutive matches with the draw in their latest conference clash.

Sarah Peters, who has been the league’s defensive player of the week in each of the last two weeks, gave up one goal and notched two saves in 110 minutes. Ceri Holland scored KU’s only goal in the 83rd minute, while West Virginia struck first in the fourth minute of the match.

Kansas will travel to TCU at 1 p.m. Sunday.
