KU volleyball falls to Kansas State in 5 sets

The Kansas volleyball team suffered a 3-2 loss (33-31, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22, 15-9) to Kansas State Wednesday night at Ahearn Field House.

Kansas won the first two sets before dropping three consecutive sets in the team’s latest Big 12 loss. It marked the first meeting of the Sunflower Showdown. KU is 6-10 overall, including 2-4 in league play.

Morgan Christon (18), Ashley Smith (14) and Rachel Langs (11) all had double-digit kills for the Jayhawks. Allie Nelson led the team with 19 digs, while Zoe Hill paced the squad with eight blocks in the loss.

KU plays host to Texas at 1 p.m. Saturday.
