Kansas fell in three sets to the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday afternoon at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena.

The first set started off as an even matchup, with the Jayhawks and the Sooners going back-and-forth until Kansas pulled ahead after a 7-point streak. The Jayhawks were up early, holding a 15-5 advantage over the Sooners, and eventually reached a 20-12 edge in the set.

Despite being led by senior Zoe Hill, who tallied four kills in the set, KU was not able to hold off the Oklahoma comeback. OU took the lead back at 24-23 and won the set with a final score of 26-24.

Even though they were down early in the second set, the Jayhawks made a solid comeback effort, making it a 3-point match near the end. The Sooner offense held strong, capturing the second set 25-19.

Oklahoma took an early lead in the third set, but KU had no problem fighting back and closing the gap. The Jayhawks tied the game at 9 and took a 10-9 lead after a kill from Ashley Smith. Oklahoma was able to respond and pulled off a 25-20 win to take the match.

KU will host Texas Tech at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
