A two-time high school state champion in Nebraska, Luke Kluver announced this week his plans to join the men’s golf program at the University of Kansas.
According to the Omaha World-Herald, Kluver had been verbally committed to golf for the University of Nebraska since his sophomore year at Norfolk High. Since then, Kluver also gained scholarship offers from Oklahoma State and KU.
Kluver announced his decision on Twitter.
He won a Class A state championship in both 2016 and 2018.
Currently a high school senior, Kluver has played in a U.S. Open sectional, the Junior PGA national finals and other high-profile amateur events.
Excited to officially announce, I’m committing to pursue my golf career at Kansas University. There are so many people who have been with me throughout my decision making process. Thank you all for your love and support. I can’t wait for this huge step in my career! #rockchalk pic.twitter.com/vjGIeSfFTz
