Kansas held the No. 2 Oklahoma (37-2, 8-0 Big 12) attack to only five runs in game two of the three-game series at Arrocha Ballpark on Saturday, but were unable to produce much on offense in a 5-0 loss.

The Jayhawks (14-26, 2-6 Big 12) finished the game with one hit and two walks against Sooner pitcher Mariah Lopez with the lone hit coming in the bottom of the seventh.

Becki Monaghan broke up the no-hit attempt by OU with a single through the right side, which advanced Macy Omli to second with only one out. KU was unable to advance the runners in the final two outs and finished the second game scoreless.

Brynn Minor earned the start for Kansas and pitched into the seventh inning. Minor allowed five runs and only four earned while facing 28 Oklahoma batters. Minor was replaced by Hannah Todd, who recorded the final two Oklahoma outs.

The series finale is slated to begin at 12 p.m. Sunday.
