Texas shuts out KU baseball

Kansas senior left-hander Taylor Turski allowed four runs in seven innings but the KU baseball team never plated a run in a 4-0 loss to Texas on Saturday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

Texas (11-9, 2-0 in Big 12) junior Kody Clemens, son of MLB pitcher Roger Clemens, hit a solo home run in the first inning and an RBI single in the third. The Jayhawks only produced six hits in their second straight loss.

Kansas (12-6, 0-2) will complete its first conference series at 1 p.m. Sunday.
