Strong pitching leads KU softball to 2 wins

Kansas pitchers Sarah Miller and Andie Formby threw complete games and the KU softball team beat Northern Colorado, 4-1, and Saint Louis, 4-0, at Rock Chalk Park on Saturday.

In the win over Northern Colorado, Miller allowed eight hits and one run while striking out three. Former Lawrence High standout Sophia Taylor, a sophomore second baseman, had two singles for the Bears.

Against Saint Louis, Formby struck out five over seven scoreless innings, allowing only five hits. The Jayhawks improved their record to 21-6.
