Second-year Kansas running backs coach Tony Hull sent shockwaves through the college football recruiting world last week by landing a large group of commitments from Louisiana, his home state.
On Wednesday, KU head coach David Beaty announced on Twitter that Hull was promoted to associate head coach.
“Tony’s recruiting prowess speaks for itself, but he is more than just a dynamic recruiter,” Beaty said. “Tony is a great football coach and his positive impact on this team is felt on a daily basis.”
The Jayhawks have landed seven non-binding, oral commitments in the class of 2018 — including six from Louisiana. Each of the recruits from the Bayou State are three- or four-star prospects.
