Kansas softball edges Tech

A five-run third inning catapulted Kansas to a 5-4 road win over Texas Tech Saturday night. First baseman Becki Monaghan and senior infielder Taylor McElhaney each had a two-RBI single in the inning.

Tony Hull makes 'Louisianimals' part of Kansas football vernacular

Associate head coach creating recruiting pipeline to 'The Boot'

The invented word first became a part of the Kansas football vernacular in February, when running backs coach Tony Hull’s impact as a recruiter in his home state of Louisiana became abundantly clear. Hull, a second-year assistant at KU whose success on the recruiting trail in and around his hometown of New Orleans at least played a part in Beaty naming him associate head coach, wishes he could claim Louisianimals as his own. Junior Mikayla Warren’s grand slam in a six-run sixth inning led Kansas to an 8-5 road win over Texas Tech on Friday night. The Jayhawks increased their winning streak over the Red Raiders to four dating to a series sweep in 2016.
