KU men’s golfers take second place

Junior Daniel Hudson fired a final round of 2-under-par 70 to tie for sixth place and lead Kansas’ men’s golf team to a second-place finish Tuesday at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Phoenix.

Hudson had a three-round total of 6-under 210. Other KU scores: Daniel Sutton (tie for 12th, 4-under 212); Chase Hanna (14th, 3-under 213); Charlie Hillier (tie for 37th, 4-over 220); and Andy Spencer (tie for 69th, 9-over 225). Competing individually, KU’s Jake Scarrow tied for 24th with a 1-over 217.

KU finished 11 strokes behind team champion UC Santa Barbara in the 18-team tournament.
