After a season-opening loss against Indiana on Friday, the Kansas Jayhawks dropped four spots to No. 7 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.
Indiana moved up to No. 6 in the poll and received one-first place vote after its 103-99, overtime win over KU.
The Jayhawks are one of two winless teams in the AP poll, along with No. 13 Michigan State, which lost to No. 10 Arizona in Hawaii. It’s the 142nd consecutive poll, dating back to the 2008-09 season, that the Jayhawks are ranked — the longest active streak in the nation.
Along with Kansas, the Big 12 has four teams in the poll (No. 19 West Virginia, No. 20 Iowa State and No. 23 Texas).
KU will face top-ranked Duke (2-0) at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Champions Classic in New York.
