Kansas University volleyball setter Ainise Havili and outside hitter Madison Rigdon have been named to USA Volleyball’s 12-player roster for the U.S. collegiate national team that will tour China.
The team will train and compete in a series of matches from June 18-July 1. After training on June 18-19 in Los Angeles, the team will be in Shanghai from June 21-23, followed by Nanjing, June 23-26 and Beijing, June 26-July 1.
Havili and Rigdon were selected through the U.S. Women’s national team open tryouts Feb. 19-21 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. KU’s right-side hitter Kelsie Payne and libero Cassie Wait also participated in the tryout.
