Kansas sophomore Lauren Aldridge has paced the Kansas women’s basketball team on the hardwood all season, but it’s not just her work ethic on the court that deserves recognition. Aldridge’s achievements in the classroom have garnered attention after being named to the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District selection on Thursday.

On the court, Aldridge has started every game this season averaging 35.1 minutes per contest. Aldridge leads the team with 10.4 points per game behind 34.9 percent shooting from the field. She has continued her trend of sinking shots from beyond the arc, making 36.8 percent of her attempts from the three-point line. Aldridge leads the team with 49 assists and is averaging 1.7 rebounds per game.
