KU soccer takes friendly

? Sophomore transfer Alex Schweitzer had a goal and an assist as Kansas University beat Tulsa, 2-1, in a spring friendly on Saturday.

Junior Ashley Pankey also had a goal for KU.

“I was really happy with how we played in the first half today,” Kansas coach Mark Francis said. “We were all over them in the first half and were doing some really nice things on both ends of the field. We came out a little flat in the second half, but, overall, I was happy with the game today. I think the first two matches of the spring (vs. the Kansas Men’s Club Team and FC Kansas City) really helped us and have us in a good place as we move forward over the next few weeks.”

KU will host Iowa in an exhibition game Saturday at Rock Chalk Park.
