? Four more Kansas University track-and-field athletes earned berths to the NCAA Championships after their performances Saturday at the West Preliminary.

Pole vaulters Jake Albright and Nick Meyer, plus junior Hannah Richardson and sophomore Zainab Sanni each qualified on the prelim’s final day, giving Kansas an NCAA-bound contingent of 11 in 12 events.

Albright placed ninth, and Meyer tied for 10th after clearing the same height — 5.35 meters, or 17 feet, 61/2 inches.

Richardson stumbled and was passed just before the tape to fall from fifth to sixth, but she still finished in a personal-best 4:16.73 in the 1,500 meters.

And Sanni placed 12th in the 200 in 23.39 seconds.

Kansas will send 11 athletes to compete in 12 events to the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, June 10-13 in Eugene, Oregon. The No. 25-ranked Kansas women will see the following compete for national titles: Sydney Conley (long jump), Daina Levy (hammer throw and discus), Colleen O’Brien (high jump), Richardson (1,500), Sanni (200) and Lindsay Vollmer (heptathlon).

The Jayhawk men’s contingent will feature Albright (pole vault), Cole Ceban (discus), Mitch Cooper (discus), Meyer (pole vault) and Michael Stigler (400 hurdles).
