KU relay team excels in Texas

? Rhavean King, Sarah Kelly, Whitney Adams and Hannah Richardson teamed up to run the sixth fastest time in school history in the women’s 4×800-meter relay to highlight the second day of the Texas Relays for the Kansas University track and field team.

The 4×800-meter team crossed the finish line in 8:52.29, which was good enough for fourth place.

Michael Stigler led the Jayhawk men by placing third in the 400-meter hurdle prelims with a time of 50.41 seconds, earning him a spot in today’s final heat. Nick Meyer also garnered a top-five five finish and a personal record in the pole vault after clearing 5.30 meters to take fourth.
