Selden sparks Jayhawks after sloppy start; USA beats Brazil, 81-72

The United States men’s basketball team needed a lift after a sloppy first quarter against Brazil on Sunday night at DongKang College Gymnasium. Kansas University junior guard Wayne Selden exploded for 15 of his team-high 23 points in the first half, including eight in the second quarter, lifting the Jayhawks to a 81-72 victory. Jayhawks change jerseys, USA on the front

The USA men’s basketball team will have a new look with USA across its chest for the remainder of the World University Games. FIBA officials asked the USA head of delegation to place USA larger on its jerseys. The entire USA delegation team worked locally to comply with this request.
