San Antonio ? Kansas University’s Yupaporn Kawinpakorn shot the low round of the day, 3-under 69, to move into a tie for second place Saturday after the second round of the Big 12 women’s golf championship.
Kawinpakorn sits in a three-way tie for second with teammate Pornvipa Sakdee and Baylor’s Laura Lonardi, three strokes behind leader Kenzie Neisen of Oklahoma State.
Sakdee owned a one-shot lead over Neisen after the first round, but carded a 2-over 74 on Saturday.
Despite Kawinpakorn and Sakdee being within striking distance to win an individual Big 12 title, the Jayhawks remain in eighth place after the second round.
The Big 12 Championship will wrap up today with the final 18 holes at The Dominion Country Club.
