Kawinpakorn leads KU women’s golf

? Kansas University junior Yupaporn Kawinpakorn was tied for sixth and the Jayhawks were tied for fifth in the team race after two rounds of the SMU/DAC Women’s Golf Invitational on Friday.

Kawinpakorn carded a 4-over 76 in the morning round but improved six strokes in the afternoon to card a two-round 146, 5 back of leader Aurora Kan of Purdue.

KU’s other scores: Pornvipa Sakee and Minami Levonowich, tied for 32nd, 152; Gabriella DiMarco, tied for 47th, 156; and Michelle Woods, tied for 75th, 164.

Oklahoma State leads the team race with 579. KU is tied with Houston for fifth at 602.
