— The Phoenix Suns’ Marcus and Markieff Morris are being investigated on allegations that they beat a former mentor.

Phoenix police say they are seeking aggravated assault charges against the Morris twins and three others in the alleged January attack.

According to police documents made available Wednesday, Eric Hood was leaving a basketball game Jan. 24 at a Phoenix sports complex when he was approached by one of the five.

Hood told police that five people, including the Morris brothers, repeatedly kicked and hit him.

Police say Hood suffered a fractured nose, abrasions and a large bump on his head.

The 6-foot-9 twins, former Kansas University standouts, became teammates in 2013 when Marcus was traded to the Suns.

I think you forgot the part where Eric Hood and the twins mother knew each other before the twins came to KU.

Hood maintains that their mother, Tomasine Morris, still kept in touch with him and texted him the day of the assault to ask where he was. When reached by police on Feb. 10, Tomasine Morris denied communicating with Hood and knowing that he was in Phoenix.

The police report says that despite the mother's denial that she was in contact with the man on the day of the assault, there is evidence showing otherwise.

This is such old news. These allegations first surfaced months ago here in Arizona. If and when they are formally charged with something, then I will pay attention to it.
