Former Kansas University women’s basketball player Krysten Boogaard made Canada’s 12-woman roster and will represent her country at the FIBA World Championship for Women.
The tournament will run Sept. 27-Oct. 5 in Turkey.
Boogaard played for the Jayhawks from 2007-2001, starting 70 and appearing in 132 games. She scored 1,051 points in her career, averaging 8.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
After graduation, Boogaard played professionally in Belgium and France.
