Lahaina, Hawaii ? Kansas University golfers Chase Hanna and Brock Drogosch each shot a 5-under 66 on Friday to tie for eighth place in the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic.
KU is tied for third in the 13-team field, 16 strokes behind leader Oregon and one shot behind North Florida.
“We played solid today,” KU coach Jamie Bermel said. “There was not much wind, and we got off to a fast start.
“Brock and Chase posted 5-under rounds, which was huge for our team score.”
Other KU scores: Ben Welle (68), Logan Philley (70), Connor Peck (71) and Gary Daoust (73).
