It is the first time Kansas (10-3 overall, 2-0 Big 12) opened league play with two wins or more.
WVU fell to 3-10, 0-2.
Dylan Windom (No. 1), Maria Jose Cardona (2), Maria Belen Ludueña (3), Los (4), Claire Dreyer (5) and Morgan Barnhill each claimed singles victories.
Windom-Los and Dreyer-Barnhill also earned doubles victories.
“I thought we did a good job battling adversity today,” said head coach Todd Chapman. “We got off to a really slow start in singles, but fought long enough to change the momentum. It is great to start 2-0 in conference play.”
KU will travel to Orlando, Fla., to face Indiana on Thursday and Central Florida on Friday.
