Lafayette, La. ? The Kansas University men’s golf team struggled in its first round on Monday at the Louisiana Classics, falling to the bottom of the team leaderboard despite a 15-stroke improvement in Round 2.
Kansas sits 12th out of 12 teams at the two-day classic, which concludes today. Chase Hanna leads all KU golfers with a two-round score of 3-over 147 and is tied for 36th place.
“We struggled all day with the greens,” KU coach Jamie Bermel said. “No excuses, but Bermuda grass is much different than what we play. Hopefully we can learn from today and be better in the final round tomorrow.”
