The Kansas University softball team will add Virginia transfer Shannon McGinley to its roster for the 2014 season, KU coach Megan Smith announced Tuesday.
McGinley, a former Sunflower League standout at Shawnee Mission East, started 40 games in the outfield her freshman season with the Cavaliers. Her sister, Erin, is a senior at SM East and has signed to play at KU next year.
