Anastasija Trubica beat Minnesota’s Paula Rinco-Otero in the consolation rounds, but Jayhawks Dylan Windom and Paulina Los fell in super tiebreakers and Maria Belen Ludueña lost in three sets.
KU’s Maria Jose Cardona fell in straight sets to Kansas State’s top-ranked Petra Niedermayerova.
Kansas will travel Nov. 1-3 for the Houston Invitational.
