Kansas University freshman middle blocker Tayler Soucie was named Big 12 Volleyball Rookie of the Week on Monday.
Soucie had nine kills and nine blocks as the Jayhawks claimed their fourth straight victory over Kansas State.
KU (20-6 overall, 10-3) is in third place in the Big 12 and will play at second-place Iowa State on Wednesday.
Soucie, from Osawatomie, is tied for third in the league with a .348 hitting percentage on the season.
