Kansas University’s top-ranked women’s track and field team and No. 15 men’s team will compete in the NCAA Outdoor Championships today in Eugene, Ore.
The KU women, runners-up at the NCAA indoor meet, will compete in 13 events. The Jayhawks will be led by Andrea Geubelle (No. 2 seed in triple jump, fourth-seed in long jump), Natalia Bartnovskaya (No. 2 seed, pole vault), Alena Krecyhk (No. 3 seed, hammer throw), and the third-seeded 4×100 relay team of Paris Daniels, Diamond Dixon, Denesha Morris and Tianna Valentine.
Michael Stigler (No. 2 seed, 400 hurdles) and Kyle Clemons (No. 3 seed, 400) lead the KU men, who qualified seven entries for the meet.
