Tallahasse, Fla. ? Kansas University junior Meghan Potee shot a 2-over-par 74 and finished tied for 18th individually with a three-round score of 225 to lead KU at the inaugural Florida State Match-Up women’s golf tournament Sunday at SouthWood Golf Club.
KU finished 10th in the 12-team field.
Georgia won the team title with 887 strokes. KU shot 921.
Potee was a stroke better than junior teammate Yupaporn Kawinpakorn’s 226, who tied for 26th individually. KU freshman Thanuttra Boonraksasat tied for 45th with a 234. Sophomore Gabby DiMarco placed 57th with a 241, while sophomore Michelle Woods tied for 58th with a 244.
KU will compete Feb. 25-26 at the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge in Weston, Fla.
