Kansas University will make its first appearance in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament at 7 p.m. Friday against Washington at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.
KU is seeded 14th overall at 25-7. Washington, the No. 3 seed, is 28-2.
The other Round of 16 match in the L.A. regional matches host USC (28-5 and the No. 6 overall seed) and BYU (24-6) at 9 p.m. Friday.
Friday’s winners will meet at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the regional championship match.
Both Friday semifinal matches will air on ESPN3.com.
The regional final will be broadcast on ESPNU.
