Bloomington, Ind. ? Kansas University junior Thanuttra “Fhong” Boonraksasat placed second individually, and KU placed second in the team race at the Indiana Women’s Golf Invitational on Sunday.
Boonraksasat was one of three Jayhawks in the top 10. She shot 71-75-71-217 on the par-72 Indiana Golf Course to finish five strokes behind medalist Elizabeth Tong of Indiana.
Kansas’ Yupaporn Kawinpakorn was eighth (78-73-74-225), and Audrey Yowell tied for ninth (74-79-73-226).
Also for KU, Meghan Potee (82-70-75-227) tied for 12th, Minami Levonowich (77-79-73-229) tied for 16th, and Gabby DiMarco, competing as an individual, shot 77-80-76-233 and tied for 27th.
Kansas will play Friday through Sunday at the Big 12 Championship at the Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes, Iowa.
