Jayhawk soccer shut out by Denver

Visiting Denver held Kansas University scoreless for the first time all soccer season, snapping the Jayhawks’ six-game winning streak with a 1-0 victory on Friday at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex.

Kansas (6-2-1) outshot Denver 16-8 overall and 11-1 in the second half, but the Pioneers connected in the 18th minute for the game’s only goal.

KU will begin Big 12 conference play at 5 p.m. Friday when it hosts No. 7 Oklahoma State.
