Kansas University junior Dylan Windom lost to Saint Louis’ Mia Elmore, 6-7 (2), 6-2, 1-0 (11-9), on Thursday in the first round of the qualifying draw at the ITA Regional Championships.
Windom needed to advance through two qualifying rounds to join three of her teammates — senior Monica Pezzotti, sophomore Maria Belen Luduena and freshman Maria Jose Cardona — in today’s main singles draw.
Pezzotti and Windom, the nation’s 25th-ranked doubles duo, enter the main doubles draw as the No. 2 seed and received an opening-round bye.
KU’s doubles team of Cardona and Luduena will play in the first round of the main doubles draw.
