The Big 12 conference announced Monday morning that Kansas University’s homecoming football contest against the University of Texas on Oct. 27 would kick off at 11 a.m.

The game will be televised by Fox Sports Net and will mark the third-straight week that the Jayhawks have appeared on FSN and the fourth time total in 2012.

KU also faced Rice and Oklahoma State in games seen on FSN and will play Oklahoma on the national sports network this upcoming weekend when the Jayhawks travel to Norman, Okla., for a 6:05 p.m. kickoff with the Sooners.

Kansas is hosting Texas for the first time since 2008, when the Longhorns claimed a 35-7 win at Memorial Stadium on Nov. 15. UT leads the all-time series with KU 9-2, including 4-2 in games played in Lawrence. KU’s last win in the series came in 1938.
