Big 12 honors KU’s Frank Duncan

By Staff Reports     May 22, 2012

Kansas sophomore pitcher Frank Duncan has been named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 21, the conference office announced Monday. This marks the second time Duncan has received the honor after being named the conference’s pitcher of the week on April 23.

Duncan, a 6-foot-4 sophomore right-hander from San Francisco, pitched a complete-game shutout against Missouri on Thursday, helping propel the Jayhawks to a series win and a trip to Oklahoma City for the Big 12 Baseball Championship this week.

Duncan and the Jayhawks will open the 2012 Big 12 Baseball Championship against Texas A&M at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
