Hammond, La. ? Kansas University pitcher Alicia Pille struck out 13, and the Jayhawks shut out Northern Colorado, 1-0, on Sunday morning at the Southeastern Lion Classic.
Pille, who pitched a complete game, gave up just three walks and three hits to the previously undefeated Bears (5-1).
Left fielder Maggie Hull led KU at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two doubles and the Jayhawks’ only RBI.
KU freshman third baseman Chanin Naudin was 3-for-3.
Kansas (3-2) will travel to Charlotte, N.C., on Friday for the Charlotte Classic. KU will take on Middle Tennessee State at 9 a.m.
