Alex Gutesha leads KU golf on Day 1

? Alex Gutesha posted an opening round of 71 to tie for 12th place on a rain-shortened Monday in the Cardinal Intercollegiate. As a team, Kansas shot a 299, 11-over par, which put it in 14th place out of 18 teams at the end of Day One at the Cardinal Club Golf Course.

The first day did not begin until noon and was reduced from 36 to 18 holes. The event will consist of only two rounds, with the final round being played this morning.
