Kansas bowling places 15th in opener

? Justin Thompson averaged 202.89 pins to place 42nd and lead all Kansas University bowlers as the KU bowling club opened its season over the weekend at the Midwest Collegiate Tournament.

Other KU scores: Matthew Washford, 94th, 202.25 average; Kyle Turner, 99th, 196.88; Jacob Feurer, 12th, 197.29; Alex Hardman, 151st, 209.33; Nicholas Campfield, 245th, 162; Christopher Flowers, 249th, 190.67.

William Penn won the team title with a grand total of 11,579 pins and 250 points. KU placed 15th with 10,734 and 95 points.
