Three Kansas University coaches announced national letter-of-intent signing recently.

• Men’s golf coach Kit Grove announced the signing of Prem “Ben” Samritpricha, a Bangkok native who spent the past five years splitting time between the IMG Leadbetter Academy and the Pendleton School in Bradenton, Fla. He is ranked 82nd nationally by Golfweek.

• Swimming coach Clark Campbell signed three swimmers and a diver. The swimmers: Bryce Hinde, from Fort Scott; Haley Molden, Topeka; and Chelsie Miller, Houston. The diver is Meredith Brownwell, from Union, Ky.

“Our primary focus (for this signing class) was a small but highly talented group of athletes,” Campbell said. “We are excited about our class, which is small in number but is a very high-quality class nonetheless.”

• Women’s golf landed Garden City’s Mackenzie Thayer and Yupaporn (Mook) Kawinpakorn of Bangkok. Thayer was the Class 6A state champion. Kawinpakorn was a two-time member of the Thai national team and the 2010 Thailand Amateur Stroke Play champion.

It's the "University of Kansas" or "KU!!!!!!"

Doesn't KU-com [emphasis on the hyphen] (or is it KU sports) get that this is the epitomy of disrespectful? I always thought this site was indeed for all sports pertaining to KU! How difficult or shocking would it be to actually refer to your readership's university by it's correct name? I really doubt you will lose any readership or any journalism awards for referring to our esteemed university by it's proper name!!! In fact, you'll be applauded and more importantly, you'll be respected! GET IT RIGHT!!!
